My great grandmother spent a lot of money on stamp collecting in her life. She died, my grandfather didn’t care to keep any of them, gave them to me, and I kept them for their design merit.
Post Offices would promote postage via hype sheets for the stamps. These would feature a description, release location, designer, and production run details.
